چکیده
The possibility of injectable biomaterials being used in the therapy peripheral artery disease (PAD) is investigated this article. We conducted a thorough review literature on use and efficacy (BMs) drug-coated balloons (DCBs). These BMs included hydrogels, collagen scaffolds, nanoparticles. could be alone or combination with growth factors, stem cells, gene therapy. treatment DCBs increasingly common field interventional angiology. Studies have been carried out to examine effectiveness paclitaxel-coated such as PaccocathTM lowering frequency which further revascularization operations are required. PCB angioplasty without paclitaxel did not significantly vary terms mortality, according findings recent meta-analysis that results four randomized controlled studies. On other hand, age was found factor predicted mortality. There correlation between routine utilization scoring balloon along improved clinical outcomes de novo lesions. In both preclinical testing, SelutionTM DCB has demonstrated safety, but research required determine whether it effective safe over long term. addition, we reviewed difficulties involved bringing BMs-based medicines trials, including approval processes by regulatory bodies. Injectable significant amount therapeutic promise for PAD, highlights need more studies field. conclusion, focuses potential PAD well hurdles must overcome order translate these treatments into trials. particular field, there demand

Drug-coated balloons: a novel advance in the percutaneous treatment of coronary and peripheral artery disease
2015 Since the introduction of plain old balloon angioplasty, there have been several improvements in the treatment of coronary artery disease, with the advent of bare metal stents and drug-eluting stents being two notable milestones. Although these stents confer better acute gains in coronary interventions, the risk of instent restenosis (ISR) remains, especially with bare metal stents. Hence,...

15 صفحه اولEffect of Drug-Coated Balloons in Native Coronary Artery Disease Left With a Dissection.
OBJECTIVES The authors sought to understand the clinical and angiographic outcomes of dissections left after drug-coated balloon (DCB) angioplasty. BACKGROUND Second-generation DCB may be an alternative to stents in selected populations for the treatment of native coronary lesions. However, the use of these devices may be hampered by a certain risk of acute vessel recoil or residual coronary ...
